W Contracting Roof Repair Regina · Roof Replacement
Roof Replacement in Regina, SK
W Contracting replaces asphalt, metal, and flat roofs across Regina. We tear off to the deck, inspect and repair the sheathing, and rebuild the whole assembly rather than shingling over the old one. Most single-family replacements run one to three days depending on size and weather.
A replacement is the one time anyone sees your roof deck. Going over top of old shingles hides whatever is rotting underneath and adds weight the structure was never designed to carry. We tear off, look at the wood, and tell you what we find before it gets covered again.

The Difference
Why Homeowners Choose W Contracting Roof Repair Regina for Roof Replacement
Full Tear-Off, Not an Overlay
Old material comes off so the deck gets inspected. Anything soft gets replaced and you see the photos.
The Whole Assembly Gets Rebuilt
Ice and water shield at the eaves and valleys, new underlayment, new flashing. Reusing old flashing is where leaks come back.
Built for Prairie Winters
Regina roofs live through freeze-thaw and ice damming every year. The detailing at the eaves matters more here than the shingle brand does.

Roof Replacement: What Regina Homeowners Should Know
What Actually Happens on Tear-Off Day
A replacement is a short, loud, messy project and it goes better when you know the shape of it. We protect what is under the eaves first, then strip the old roofing down to the deck rather than laying new material over old, because covering an unknown deck is how a new roof inherits an old problem. With the sheathing exposed we walk it, mark anything soft or delaminated, and replace those sheets. That is also the moment we can see whether previous work was done properly, and it is the only honest opportunity to fix framing or ventilation issues at the sheathing level.
Then the assembly goes back on in order: ice-and-water membrane at the eaves running past the inside face of the exterior wall and up every valley, underlayment over the field, new drip edge, valley metal, flashing rebuilt at chimneys and walls rather than reused, shingles fastened to the manufacturer's pattern, and ridge cap with exhaust ventilation sized to the intake the soffits can actually deliver. At the end we run a magnet over the yard and driveway more than once, because a nail in a tire is the detail people remember about a roof job. You get photographs of the deck before it was covered, which is the part of your roof you will never see again.

Roof Replacement: Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a replacement take?
Most single-family homes are one to three days, weather permitting. Complex rooflines take longer.
Do I need to be home?
No, though it helps to be reachable if we find something in the deck that changes the scope.
What time of year is best?
In Saskatchewan the season runs roughly April through October. Shingles need warmth to seal, so late-season work depends on the forecast.
Will you replace the deck if it is rotten?
Yes, and we show you the photos first. Deck repair is quoted separately because nobody knows what is under there until the tear-off.
What happens to the old roof?
We haul it away. Disposal is included in the quote.
